El nuevo "paradigma" de la lectura en la Sociedad de la Información

Las nuevas tecnologías que hoy en día empleamos fueron las causantes de la aparición de la llamada Sociedad de Información. Como ha ocurrido en otros períodos históricos han llevado a los individuos a una manera distinta de comunicarse y de generar conocimiento. Esta Sociedad de Información plantea, a su vez, una nueva aproximación a la lectura, la cual difiere a la empleada hasta hace muy poco tiempo atrás. Sin embargo, en la actualidad dos modalidades de lectura, directamente relacionadas a los soportes utilizados, subsistirán. Para poder difundir el conocimiento a toda la población las bibliotecas jugarán un papel fundamental cumpliendo como siempre con su misión social.
