Abstract

  • En el ámbito nacional y regional el tema de la gestión cultural ha recobrado un interés público y académico particular, generando una apertura incipiente en la prestación de servicios y productos culturales. Sin embargo, en el contexto bibliotecológico se ha estado administrando recursos culturales y gestando cultura (sin saberlo) desde tiempos remotos. Desde el entorno social de la biblioteca universitaria, planteamos la integración de dos conceptos - gestión cultural y bibliotecología-. Esta visión interpreta los contenidos educativos, informativos y culturales impresos en la política bibliotecaria otorgando posibilidades múltiples en la gestión de servicios de calidad. En la universidad la biblioteca se transforma en un lugar de encuentro en la diversidad. Esta perspectiva se materializa en el proyecto cultural del Sistema de Bibliotecas de la UTEM, esta área de desarrollo estratégico toma un enfoque sistemático desde la implementación de un Programa Cultural, y el desarrollo de un Centro Cultural en uno de los campus de la universidad.
