Abstract

El presente artículo pretende abordar la actividad de investigación en el área de la Ciencia de la Información y demostrar que esa ciencia debe tener como objeto de estudio y trabajo la información. Considera que es una ciencia interdisciplinaria y/o multidisciplinaria. Finaliza con una revisión sobre los conceptos de información en sus varios ambientes o contextos.

Marta Lígia Pomim Valentim

Vive atualmente em: Londrina, Paraná, Brasil Nascimento: Mogi das Cruzes, SP, Brasil em 30/04/1958

Currículo: Doutora pela ECA/USP, mestre pela PUC-Campinas, bacharel em Biblioteconomia pela FESP/SP. Professora Adjunto na Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL) desde 1995. Atualmente Assessora da Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação da UEL. Organizadora e uma das autoras do livro “Formação do Profissional da Informação”. Organizadora e uma das autoras do livro “Profissionais da Informação: formação, perfil e atuação profissional”. Autora do livro "O Custo da Informação Tecnológica". Atuação profissional em organizações como: Metal Leve S/A e FGV/SP. Pesquisadora do CNPq, na área de inteligência competitiva.

Atualmente exerce o cargo de Presidente da Associação Brasileira de Educação em Ciência da Informação (ABECIN). Ocupou diferentes cargos no movimento associativo paulista, dentre eles: Presidente da APB, gestão 1993-1995. Coordenou a organização de vários eventos da área como: COBIB, COBIBii e COBIBiii. Autora de vários artigos científicos publicados em revistas nacionais e internacionais. Tem realizado conferências em eventos internacionais em países como Cuba, Argentina e Uruguai. Membro da Comissão Editorial da revista Informação&Informação e Encontros Bibli. Produção científica no Brasil e no exterior nas áreas de Políticas de Informação em C&T, Educação em Ciência da Informação, Fontes de Informação Eletrônicas, Informação para Negócios.
