Abstract

La gestión externa de los servicios archivísticos constituye una práctica actual extendida entre los diferentes productores de documentos, bien sean públicos o privados. En el caso de los archivos de empresa, la organización y custodia de los documentos por parte de empresas privadas supone una alternativa a la gestión propia. Las tradicionales ventajas centradas en el ahorro de costes son los grandes atractivos de estas empresas. Sin embargo, es necesario analizar con detenimiento sus operaciones para determinar los niveles de calidad, la adecuación a la teoría archivística así como la controvertida cuestión referida a la confidencialidad de los datos de carácter personal.

Diego Navarro Bonilla

Diego Navarro Bonilla, Doctor en Documentación por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Profesor de archivística y gestión de documentos administrativos. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en la historia de los archivos y de la cultura escrita. También ha estudiado aspectos relativos a los archivos de empresa y especialmente a la implantación de los servicios de referencia en el ámbito archivístico. Forma parte del seminario permanente de investigación en archivística de la citada Universidad (http://rayuela.uc3m.es/~ppozuelo/).
